Required Jobsite Postings
California Public Works Postings
In California, all employers must meet workplace posting obligations. Workplace postings are usually available at no cost from the requiring agency. The Department of Industrial Relations requires employers to post information related to wages, hours and working conditions in an area frequented by employees where it may be easily read during the workday. Additional posting requirements apply to some workplaces.

We have seen an uptick in jobsite watchdog groups requesting these documents and contractors being found in violation of this requirement. All employees on your jobsite need to be aware of this jobsite binder and its location.

To be compliant with this requirement, place the below documents in a binder and keep it in an area that your workers can easily access such as a work vehicle, jobsite trailer, and any other frequently accessed location. Remember to update these binders at least monthly in order to be in compliance. Label your binders as such:

Federal Contracts Postings
The DOL workplace posters are available for all employers at no cost. Additionally, the FirstStep Poster Advisor was designed to help employers comply with the poster requirements of several laws administered by the Department of Labor (DOL).
These laws require employers to display official DOL posters where employees can readily observe them to help employers and employees understand their rights and responsibilities under Federal employment laws.
